Mingara One Aquatics

  • Olympic Pool
  • Hydrotherapy Pool
    • Used by 6S Health for individual and small group hydrotherapy
    • Perfect for osteoarthritis of the feet, ankles and knees, post Total Knee Replacement (TKR) and Total Hip Replacement (THR) surgery, post back or spinal surgery, back pain and shoulder pain and rehab
  • Leisure Pool
    • Standard heated pool (lower temperature than the hydrotherapy pool)
    • Not deep – you can touch the bottom
    • Great for exercising when you need to keep from getting too hot - e.g. when you’re pregnant or if you have Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Mingara One Fitness

  • State-of-the-art cardio equipment
    • Treadmills, upright bikes, recumbent bikes, cross-trainers, steppers, climbers, rowing ergometers – all provide a variety of different ways of improving your cardiac health, burning up extra calories and improving the way you feel (through endorphin release)
  • Wide range of exercising equipment
    • Keiser hydraulic equipment allows you to change resistance with the touch of a button
    • Pin-loaded equipment is easy to operate and provides small increments for gradually upgrading your loading
    • Free weights require more training in correct technique but provide a very “real-life” type of loading and are often employed for sports-specific training
    • Cable machines allow for an almost infinite variety of different actions to be duplicated and are therefore valuable for sports and work-training. If you’re a worker aiming to return to physical work after an injury or surgery, cable machines are likely to be used to prepare you for work-like actions and loads
  • Stretching areas
    • Rubber mats are provided for comfortable stretching on the floor, and there is usually plenty of space for stretching out after a workout.
